Week 2! Excite! We'll talk about my experiences with gyms, a garden that needs saving, another project I just started, some fun outdoor time, and making friends
Used to be an extrovert and take pride in the fact that I can easily make conversations with anyone. That seems to be changing now as my people are going into their own shells and so am I. I still try to talk to people wherever I go(on trips, cult group workouts, thindi walks), but they still somehow never seem to be lasting friendships and just end up staying acquaintances. So yes, forging lasting friendships is proving to be a challenge, making me yearn for social contact more and more.
Funny that we met on a telegram group too and you ended up being the reason I have a career today :p. Been almost 4 years now we still haven't met IRL though xD
I feel the same with tribes. With the recent move to hybrid work practices, it’s so hard to build genuine relationships and this is even more prominent with single contributor roles.
The curry plant issue is real. What I have noticed is that it needs more care when the plant/graft is rooting. But after it has comfortably rooted, the challenge is keeping the temperature apt for growth. Winters my curry plant basically dies. Fun fact: it’s around $45 to get one from the Indian store in us. Ya expensive stuff….
I have recently "stuck" to the habit of regularly exercising and there couldn't have been a better hook for the post than garadimane! The focus on "reps" rather than on the "weights" intrigued me. Also the sambar with the mudde looked yum 😋

Yea, it's so much harder when the energy isn't reciprocated.

Haha, true :) We should change that soon!
This is excellent, TJ! TIL about garadimane. You are in Basavanagudi now! Let's meet :)
This recent tweet on 'how to make friends as an adult' is hilarious

I think hybrid is the worst.
When you say more care, what do you specifically do?

Thanks Vatsa ❤️
Garadi focuses on doing 200 bhaskis/dands more than lifting 100kg 20 times.
Or doing parikrama - a swing with a 4-5kg gada/mudgar for 20-30min over doing the same swing with a 20kg mace a few times.
Mudde is love :)
This was fun :) Was intrigued to read about the garadimane. And took great satisfaction to know you made sambar from the Malabar Southekai..
Keep writing!
Thanks Febin ❤️
Looking forward to more harvests from my small balcony
Hello :)
